My Integrative Therapy Approach
Integrative psychotherapy is a type of therapy that combines techniques and theories from different schools of psychotherapy, with the aim of tailoring treatment to your individual needs. The approach
involves drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities to help you gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and work towards healing and personal growth.
Some of the schools of psychotherapy that may be integrated in this approach include cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, and existential therapy. Depending on your unique situation and needs, I may use a combination of these techniques in a flexible and adaptable way.
Integrative psychotherapy recognizes that every person is unique, and there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy. By integrating different approaches, I aim to provide a more personalized and effective treatment for each individual. This approach is often used to treat a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
My Mindful Coaching Approach
Mindful coaching is a coaching approach that involves helping you increase your self-awareness, develop mindfulness skills, and cultivate a more present-focused and compassionate approach to your goals and challenges. My Masters in Health Psychology informed and inspired this approach in coaching, since Mindful coaching recognizes that the mind and body are interconnected and that by cultivating mindfulness, individuals can better understand and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Some techniques I use in mindful coaching include:
- Breathwork: Focusing on the breath is a common technique in mindfulness practices, and mindful coaches often teach clients various breathing exercises to help them become more present and calm.
- Body scanning: This involves paying attention to the sensations in the body, moving from the top of the head down to the toes. It can help clients become more aware of their bodily sensations and promote relaxation.
- Mindful meditation: This involves sitting quietly and focusing on the present moment, observing thoughts and feelings as they arise without judgment. Mindful coaches often teach clients different types of meditation practices.
Mindful coaching is a holistic approach that seeks to help individuals develop self-awareness, cultivate mindfulness, and build resilience to face life's challenges with greater ease and compassion.
You might benefit from Mindful Coaching if you are not sure which career is a good fit for you, if you experience intense stress and burnout, if you experience life transitions, or if you simply seek to increase your personal growth and self-improvement.
